my name is Alyce and I am an artist living in San Diego, CA. My background is in psychology and writing, but I have been an artist my entire life. I love working with ceramics, mixed media art, creative writing, and oil paint. My journey with jewelry began in 2018 and this self-taught practice has gifted me with many experiences and lessons.
being an artist of many mediums, I try to include those skill sets into my work. whether it be sculpture, collage, or up-cycling; my heart is always going into the piece. I gather inspiration from the ancestors of my tribe, the collective unconscious and nature. the name "kutsi" means female in my indigenous language (Purépecha). Nana Kutsi is our name for the moon. I want to harness the divine feminine energy within me and from Nana Kutsi in every piece that I create. this is not to say that my jewelry is strictly for women, but that each work of art carries sentient energy charged by Nana Kutsi and myself.
